Foreign Income
All US Citizens and Permanent Residents living abroad are required to file and report their income. If you are outside of the United States for 330 days or more, you may be entitled to exclude part or all of your income (tax benefits).
You qualify for the tax benefits available to taxpayers who have foreign earned income if both of the following apply:
- You meet the tax home test.
- You meet either the bona fide residence test or the physical presence test
